Ben has developed several non-profit and for-profit business plans over the course of his career. He has founded or been the member of a founding team for six different start-up ventures, all of which achieved success and continue to operate today.

Most recently, Ben served as a strategic advisor to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on its Washington state charter school initiative, and currently works with the Washington State Charter Schools Association and the True Measure Collaborative on strategic planning initiatives.

Ben builds business plans that serve as practical "playbooks" for launching programs and services, and provide immediately usable content for securing financial investments. A business plan should always be a roadmap that guides the organization's daily activities - not a verbose document that collects dust on the shelf.
